Commentary
The main auditorium in Womenstown was accesed by temporary structures, this ramp system was supposed to provide assess for women with mobility disabilities. Not only was thegradient prohibitive, the ruts which gave purchase to those whose feet were wet and muddy from the poor drainage and disintegrating pathways proved insurmountable and an effective barrier to others. People with disabilities are too frequently 'designed out' with the majority unaware of their relative privilege. Women who can not be present are effectively silenced and denied access to forums of power.
