Water

Commentary
Water of some description had evidently bubbled from the ground here for some time, water pooled at the base of the wall, it was saturated. While the forum site was drenched difficulty obtaining water was the issues nominated by indigenous Australian women as critical to improving their lives. The remote arid regions pose particular challenges for health of children and adults, a factor that contributes to shortening the life span of Indigenous Australians by some 20 years compared to other Australians

Water problems result in ill health, which results in an increased workload for women, who in many cultures, are predominately responsible for providing care within the family. Well designed neighbourhoods have clean water available and keep excess and waste water away from people.
